Internal Audit

The role of the Internal Audit Department is to ensure that the administration of Nimba University complies with Government of Liberia’s regulations as well as policies adopted by the institution. The regulations of the Government of Liberia include, but not limited to, the Public Procurement and Concession Commissions (PPCC) Act and Regulations; the Public Financial Management (PFM) Act and Regulations; the Decent Work Bill, the Human Resource Civil Service Manual, etc.

The institution’s own polices include the Employee Handbook, Students’ Handbook, Admissions Policy, etc. In addition, the Director of Audit does a periodic review of financial and other documents of the university, and reports to the Board of Trustees with recommendations for corrective actions.
