The College of Education and Social Sciences formerly the department of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences was established in 2010 by the Board of Trustees, Nimba County Community College (now Nimba University). The College provides strong foundations in education life-long learning and social sciences gives students real-world experiences and enable students to be responsible, disciplined, and successful citizens in our society, as well as advancing technology globally.
Our highly qualified faculty staff train our students in acquiring the knowledge, skills, and leadership development necessary to succeed in their chosen career pathways. These goals are attained by the different departments through a balanced and renewed curriculum through the below-listed departments:
• Primary Education
• Early Childhood Education
• Secondary Education
• Criminal Justice

Additionally, Nimba University has established the Siabara Early Childhood Development and Primary center which serves as the subprogram and a demonstration center for our students (teacher aspirants).
