The Office of Admissions provides services, programs, and information designed to help students meet their educational goals, including:

Pre-admissions interview with an admissions Officer helps you have an opportunity to explore NU various programs offer, and you will learn more about the matriculation process including Testing, Scholarship, Financial Aid, Counseling, and registration.

Application

We welcome you to apply to Nimba University and join us in our quest to be one of the very best learning communities transforming the younger generation in Liberia, Africa, and the world.

We will mail back an admission letter when your application has been accepted by the admissions board. The fee for the selected program will be estranged in the application letter.

When to Apply

Application for the regular program normally closed on the 15th of December. Therefore, for the January intake, your application should have been sent by September. For an international student to be accepted in the September intake, your application form should have been sent by April

The students of Nimba University are recruited through the regular Placement Entrance Examinations administered twice a year.

Candidates interested in sitting the exams must submit two recent passport-size photos and deposit $2,500 to register for the entrance exams. The candidate must be a high school graduate with a WAEC/WASSCE/ or Advanced Level Certificate. Exams dates and times will be announced one month prior to the exams; however, the exams are administered between June and August every year.

Successful candidates for admission must submit the following requirements: a high school transcript which covers 10th, 11th, and 12th Grades, and a letter of recommendation, signed stamped, and sealed by the school. Diploma and WAEC Certificates or Advanced level Certificate. One recent health certificate (from any recognized hospital, not a clinic) and two recent passport-size photos.


Financial Aid

Financial aid funds are allocated as per the specific instruction by the donor(s) in addition to the general eligibility requirements for all Nimba University scholarships.
