BRIEF PROFILE

Associate Professor Edwin F. Kruah, is a highly motivated and result-oriented professional and technocrat of over 30 years experience, with a strong background in administration, management, finance, and policy development. He has worked with both the private and public sectors, in junior and senior level management and leadership positions in and out of Liberia, contributing immensely towards the attainment of organization’s goals, through the utilization of managerial, administrative, financial management and leadership skills. Associate Professor Kruah brings to the position of Vice President for Institutional Advancement (VPIA) a wealth of experience and expertise, along with strong hand-on problem solving and analytical abilities, which serve as assets to the university. Associate Professor Edwin F. Kruah holds two bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Business Administration/Finance, from the University of Liberia and the Minnesota School of Business respectively; along with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, with concentration in Human Resources Management, from the University of Phoenix. Associate Professor Kruah joined the Nimba County Community College, now Nimba University, in October 2011 as Comptroller and rose to the position of Vice President for Administration (VPA) in July 2012, just within the period of nine (9) months. He served with distinctions as VPA from 2012 to March 13, 2022. On March 14, 2022, Associate Professor Edwin F. Kruah was appointed to head the newly created Department of Institutional Advancement (DIA), as Vice President. As a Policy Specialist, Associate Professor Kruah has developed many policy documents on financial, administrative and human resources management; some of which include the Employee Handbook and the Financial Policy Manual of the Nimba County Community College, now the Nimba University. Associate Professor Kruah is considered one of the pioneers of the university, having worked assiduously with Dr. Edward Lama Wonkeryor, then President of the Nimba County Community College, for the elevation of the institution to a full-fledged university – a feat that was accomplished on September 26, 2021, with the approval of the Act elevating the institution, by his Excellency Dr. George Manneh Weah, President of the Republic of Liberia.
